Getting something down onto paper

My first inclination was to create an image with a city adjacent to a forest, with as much tension and violence between them as possible. I don’t think I’ve really achieved that, I’m not sure I even like this picture, but there are aspects to it that work I think. Regardless, it’s a first step towards bigger and better things!
