Lost in the Plot

Seward Street has a nice short article on blogging for animation that’s worth checking out. It’s one of the growing number of blogs in recent months to observe the growth of animation blogging, and it has some great advice -

That would be my own secret for anyone out there who wants to “Talk hard” and “Steal the air” for themselves. Make it as personal as possible. My favorite blogs, and the ones that I think are the most popular, are those that have their own voice, their own unique viewpoint on character animation and where it’s headed.

Besides being a blast, it’s a great way to do something positive for the industry. You could write about anything: TV or flash animation, personal projects, acting techniques, drawing lessons - anything that sparks that creative flame inside of you.

The more people who blog, the closer we’ll get to fulfilling Hard Harry’s dream of “a million voices crying out in the wilderness.” The opportunity is finally here for all of us to make a positive difference. We all can have a say in how our beloved art form lives and grows throughout the next century.
